Dressed up in fancy pink attire, our players held a fun, but competitive match against their parents to support those who have been affected by breast cancer. Raising over £100 in the one session, the girls are thrilled to donate to various breast cancer support and research charities. Well done to all girls who took part - very proud! Another successful weekend for TJNC last weekend at Durham Palatinates tournament.
With the drive being two and a half hours, both U12's and U13's went up and stayed the Saturday night meaning we had lots of tired faces Sunday morning. Fortunately that didn't deter them. Some great performances from U13's, one being a match where they played against one another. An intense fixture which finished with Reds beating Blues by 1 point. A couple of other hair-raising matches but nothing they couldn't handle. The round robin tournament ended with our Reds as tournament winners and Blues as runners up - well done to all!! We were quite amused that had the match against one another been a draw, they would've drawn on points overall as well, being joint winners...and even drawn exactly on goal difference!! A testament to these girls and their coach! Also, huge well done to our U12's who won 7 out of 10 matches, with each loss only being by 1 point. Another round robin tournament with our squad finishing in third place. A great effort!! Thanks to all who came and supported! Here's a shot of our U13's winners and runners up with their medals and (below) our U12's team with their coach. Our club presentation evening is taking place on Friday 7th July at Sale Masonic Hall from 7pm.
All TJNC players and parents are invited to join us to celebrate the season with awards, raffles, games and disco. Anyone prizes for the raffle would be gratefully received - please contact your coach. Look forward to seeing you all there!! We are pleased to inform you that TJNC is 25 years old this year!!! As such we are hosting a celebratory tournament for ages U9's - U16's and seniors. It will be held on Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st of May at Wright Robinson.
